Welcome to My Tia’s Mexican Restaurant, the South Side’s favorite spot for big flavors, huge energy, and even bigger tacos!
When we opened our doors on Pleasanton Road, we wanted to create more than just a place to grab a meal—we wanted it to feel like you were walking straight into your favorite aunt’s kitchen. That’s why we’re called "My Tia’s." From the moment you step inside, you aren’t just a customer; you’re family (or as some of our guests say, you’re our primas and primos!).
The Rhythm of the South Side
If you hear Tejano music pumping and see people dancing through the front door, don't be surprised—it’s just how we start the day! We believe a great breakfast should come with great energy. In fact, it’s a bit of a tradition here: if you dance your way through the door, your coffee or tea is on us. Whether you're here for our vibrant Spurs mural, our neon signs, or a live two-man band, the vibe is always upbeat, welcoming, and 100% San Antonio.
Authentic, Handmade, and "Super"
We don’t cut corners on the food that makes our city famous. Our tortillas are made fresh in-house—soft, fluffy, and "bomb." We are the proud home of the Super Taco, portions so generous they’ve been known to surprise even the hungriest diners. From our tender Carne Guisada and flavorful Barbacoa to our fan-favorite "Juan Carlos" taco and perfectly sweetened tea with crushed ice, we serve up authentic Mexican comfort food that stays true to our roots.
Driven by Heart
Behind the scenes, our team—led by people like Doña Martha, Juancarlos, and Karla—works as a family to ensure your coffee cup stays full and your plate comes out hot and fast. We’ve been honored to be featured on TikTok and "Best Try" lists, but our greatest reward is seeing a first-time visitor become a "customer for life."
